Michelle and Michael, Forty One North, Newport RI

Michelle and Michael had a stunning wedding at Forty One North on Thames Street in Newport. We are so excited to be going back there this weekend for another wedding! Photo Credit goes to Lauren Halvorson Photography.

The bride's bouquet was lush and full with some texture in shades of cream, yellow and gray using garden roses, silver brunia, succulents, dusty miller, stock, and craspedia.

How cute is this pup's pomander with button mums? (Oh yeah, the couple is cute too!)

The guys had sunny boutonnieres with craspedia, spray roses, silver brunia, and succulents.

The girls had beautiful bright bouquets in shades of yellow and gray with garden roses, spray roses, dahlias, zinnia, craspedia, silver brunia, and dusty miller.

The reception had farm tables with low rustic wooden boxes filled with garden roses, dusty miller, craspedia, stock, queen anne's lace, dahlias, zinnia, and eucalyptus. Scattered along the table were white votive candles and succulents.

The sweetheart table had a cute corner piece with garden roses, dahlias, succulents, and zinnias.

We were so happy to be included in your celebration, Michelle and Michael! We wish you love for many years to come!

Sarah and Christopher, Aldrich Mansion, Warwick RI

Sarah and Christopher had a beautiful wedding on March 7th at Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, RI. The ceremony and reception both took place on site. Photos are courtesy of Lauren Halvorson.

The bridal bouquet was round and lush with shades of white with hydrangea, roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus.

The bridesmaids' bouquets were shades of butter yellow, cream, champagne and gray using hydrangea, roses, ranunculus, daffodils, and lisianthus to compliment their charcoal gray dresses.

At the reception, the table centerpieces were a mix of tall and short, keeping the design clean and elegant. The tall were round and lush arrangements with cream, champagne and butter yellow, using dusty miller, lisianthus, roses, and hydrangea that were set on trumpet pedestals with a submerged white dendrobium orchid inside.

The short arrangements were round and lush arrangements with cream, champagne and butter yellow, using dusty miller, lisianthus, roses, and hydrangea to match the taller arrngements.

For the mantle, we had three different sized cylinder vases with floating candles and cream and butter rose petals scattered in between.

The cake had a simple cascade design with ranunculus, roses, and anenomies.

Congratulations, Sarah and Christopher! Wishing you years of love and happiness!

Lora and Dan, Bittersweet Farm, Westport MA

Here is a beautiful wedding we did at Bittersweet Farm in Westport, Massachusetts. The ceremony was held outside on the lawn and reception was a few steps away inside the restaurant. Photos are courtesy of Studio Nouveau

The bride's bouquet was lush and full of texture, filled with local dahlias, garden roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus. It had a lovely organic feel.

The groom's boutonniere had a funky organic feel to it with scabiosa pod and lisianthus that complemented the bride's bouquet wonderfully.

The bridesmaids had bouquets of rich shades of purple filled with local dahlias, lisianthus, and dusty miller.

Bittersweet Farm has mix of round and rectangular tables, so the bride brought us an assortment of mason jars and bud vases that we filled with local garden style flowers including dahlias, gerber daisies, hydrangea, and hypericum.

It was a beautiful wedding, thank you so much for including us in your big day! Congratulations, Lora and Dan! We wish you happiness for all the years to come!

Christa and EJ, Tyrone Farm, Pomfret Ct

Christa and EJ's wedding was definitely one of our fall highlights! The ceremony and reception both took place at Tyrone Farm, a gorgeous 170- acre country estate in Pomfret, Connecticut, which is one of our personal favorite venues.  The sprawling grounds in the heart of the season were the perfect setting for our floral arrangements in deep purples, oranges, and burgundy. Photographs are courtesy of Olivia Gird.

The bridal bouquet was lush and full, with burgundy dahlias, purple hydrangea, mango calla lilies and accents in bold shades. It was designed in nosegay form and stems french braided in ribbon to match Christa's beautiful cream lace dress. EJ wore a complimenting mango calla lily in his boutonniere.

The bridesmaids wore satin dresses in a rich shade of plum, and carried nosegay-styled bouquets with schwarzwalder calla lilies, purple hydrangea, and orange dahlias, with stems french braided in plum ribbon.

The ceremony took place at the pergola, which we adorned with lush arrangements of burgundy, orange and deep purple in seasonal blooms, including snapdragons, hydrangea, and roses.

The reception was held in the barn, where the wooden details looked charming with our floral centerpieces of hydrangea, roses, and dahlia's in deep rich tones. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and breathtaking, in the candlelight.

What a stunning wedding! Congratulations Christa and EJ and thanks for letting us be a part of your big day! We had so much fun, and wish you both a wonderful future.

Richlin and George Glen Manor, Portsmouth RI

Here is a sweet July wedding we did at the Glen Manor in Portsmouth, RI. The traditional charm of the french chateau was a perfect backdrop for such an elegant celebration. Photos are courtesy of Armor and Martel.

Down the aisle, we used gold pails hung with soft pink ribbon, filled with seasonal flowers in shades of ivory, pink, and soft green. Richlin carried a gorgeous brooch bouquet that she designed herself, and George matched her with a cool, brooch boutonniere.

Inside, we continued to play with the soft palette using flowers like garden roses, lisianthus, hydrangea, ranunculus, and peonies. The flowers were charmingly set in hat boxes chosen by Richlin.

We stepped up the elegance with some dramatic, tall  centerpieces with dripping crystals and full blooms. Those pink roses look gorgeous.

One of our favorite things that Richlin and George requested was unique wishing tree of gold manzanita branches and a lush base for friends and family to leave their thoughts on, instead of a sign-in book.

Here it is, getting filled with warm thoughts and wishes. What a great idea!

Thanks so much for including us in your big day! Wishing you two the very best!

Carissa and John, Glen Manor, Portsmouth RI

Here are some pictures of a beautiful summer wedding we did last year for Carissa and John. Modern, elegant, and fresh - a perfect combination for June. The stunning photographs are courtesy of Servidone Studios.

The lush bridal bouquet, in shades soft pink, peach, and
cream with accents of gray using dusty miller, was wrapped in peach lace.

The blooms we chose were Juliette garden roses, ranunculus, peonies, stock, lisianthus, and hydrangeas.

Her bridesmaids carried similarly designed but smaller bouquets, which complimented their mint dresses perfectly.

Don't they look gorgeous!

John's boutonneire (a simple cream ranunculus with hypericum berry and eucalyptus accents, wrapped in peach lace) was an elegant match.

After the ceremony at St Patrick's Church, the bridal party and guests made their way to Glen Manor, an elegant backdrop for their celebration.
The flowers were designed in more of a garden style with some brighter hues to enhance the festive mood.

Look at those pops of color!
Congratulations you two! We loved working with you and wish you the best for years to come.

Yelp Holiday Flower Arranging Class

A month ago, on December 18th, 2013, we hosted another Yelp event in flower arranging. Michelle taught, Christina demonstrated, and Yvette and Prachie guided, made bows, refilled champagne, etc,  as yelpers created their own holiday decor. After creating a base with Carolina sapphire, cedar, and pine, our guests used accents like pinecones, hypericum berries, baubles, and bows (and glitter!) to create unique personal arrangements that varied from rustic and elegant to glitzy and playful.

We had an array of hors d'oevres, Prosecco, champagne,  and good company - and were excited to some familiar faces from our 2012 yelp event. It was tons of fun and we were so impressed by the talents of our local yelpers.
